What were they thinking?

I really do not understand the Republican party. Wasn't it bad enough that Bush was elected not just once, but twice? (I did not vote for him either time.) I remember stating, "How can anyone vote for Bush - he has no foreign policy knowledge or experience." I was really scared for our future as a nation and I had just right to be scared. The Republicans have gotten us into a no-win situation with Iraq. Now, here the Republicans go again. PALIN? What are they thinking? She has absolutely NO experience and for heaven sakes she even admits she is just a "hockey mom." We must be the laughing stock of the world.

With Obama, I feel a new surge of energy and hope in America. American's are feeling they are in a hopeless situation with the economy and jobless rates. We have to have someone to believe in and Obama seems to be that person. I feel a new sense of hope that good things are to come.
